Radio Rooftop Milan

“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” -Virginia Woolf

We were staying at the Melia in Milan but at their other hotel more downtown they had a rooftop bar. So we decided to try the rooftop bar rather than the usual bar in our hotel. What a good choice. From exiting the lift you enter the bar area and its everything you would expect a DJ playing soft house music, low lighting and a great atmosphere. It was so busy especially with locals this must be the place to be. There is a sophisticated crowd so we stood out like sore thumbs, joking we looked as if we owned the place. There was an outside terrace which overlooked the city with really good heaters. So we sat outside, happily. The lighting was my favourite fairy lights everywhere inside and out. As the night progressed it began to get drastically cooler so we headed back inside to keep warmer and not end up with a cold the following day.

They served food but we just opted for a glass of red for me, and a beer for him. It would be wrong to drink anything else other than wine in Italy right! We enjoyed only one glass and then we made a move to head to our next bar on our long list of our things to do in Milan.
