From Bangkok to Siem Reap by bus and visa on arrival

We caught a coach to Siem Reap, Cambodia from Bangkok as its cheaper then flying.

We are now basically travelling everywhere by bus as its really easy!

We booked with a tour provider we found in Bangkok. You can leave at all different times but we opted for the morning bus at 7:30am.The bus had Wi-Fi, a toilet and air conditioning.

To cross the boarder you have to buy a 30 day visa which costs $32 per person. You can do this online but its just easier to do it at the border yourself.

When your on the bus the tour provider (bus company) will try and sell you the hassle free visa which is more expensive 1500 baht where the perks are you don't queue and it doesn't matter if you don't have a passport photo. They will say you need a passport photo and you cant get it at the border.

Its a lie, when you get to the boarder first you stamp out of Thailand then you go to “visa on arrival” you fill in your details and pay 1300 baht. Then you walk down a little bit further and get your stamp into Cambodia. There is literally no queues as the majority all buy with the tour providers as there scared to do it themselves.

Sorted back to the bus for another 3 hours until arriving in Siem Reap. Oh by the way there are lots of beggars at the borders and they literally don't leave you alone.

400 baht for the coach from Bangkok to Siem Reap and then €32 dollars or 1300 baht for the visa on arrival.
