From Koh Rong Sanloem to Hoi Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Now we wanted to get to Vietnam from Cambodia without a flight as it was too pricey. So another boat and bus journey it is. We caught the return boat which we had already paid for to Sihanoukville. Then from there we found a travel agent and booked a night bus to Ho Chi Minh City for that night. The timing worked really well.

We arrived in Sihanoukville at 4:30pmish and the bus for Vietnam would pick us up at 6:30pm from the shop. So that meant food, Wi-Fi, time to go!

The bus arrives and its a big bus, a night bus. You have double beds as bunk beds all through the bus with your own curtain for privacy. However if your a solo traveller you have to share the bed with someone you don't know which could be a male.

The night bus is comfy and goes directly to Phomn Penh. There you change to another night bus which crosses the border. Crossing the boarder is simple, no visa needed. You literally carry your bags through security and get your passport stamped. Then back to the bus.

We arrived in Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City at 10am which is earlier then expected as we were told 1pm.  We then went to the nearest coffee shop with Wi-Fi and booked a room close by.

$24 USD per person.
