Halong Bay Day Tour

Halong Bay has 1,920 islands! The water is an emerald colour and the islands are made from limestone. So of course we wanted to check this out!

So we opted for the whole day tour which seemed like the best option and I'm so glad we chose that as the half day tours are rubbish! You can also do 2 days with an overnight stay but that was out of our price range.

The day started at 8am when we were picked up from our hotel in Halong City and then driven to the harbour. We then boarded our boat for the day which was really nice with tables, fans, sunroof, clean bathrooms and a bar.

After the introduction speech we set sail. It took an hour and a half to cruise through Halong Bay which was perfect enough time to take in all the little islands and get many photos. The first stop is a beautiful cave Hang sung sot which is enormous you climb a few stairs and then your inside.

After that its lunch on the boat which was tasty you got shrimps, spring rolls, chicken, rice, vegetables, fresh fruit etc...

Next is the lagoon for either kayaking or the big bambu boat. You have 25 minuets and you cant swim. After choosing to kayak we realised why so many jelly fish!!

Back to the boat and the final stop is Ti Top, which has a beach and a fantastic view point. There are 420 steps to get to the view point once your up there its so busy but the view is incredible.

Then its home time at 4:30pm.
FYI - you can also get a day tour from Hanoi but its a little more pricey as you have to pay for the transport too!

600,000 Dong per person, but this included lunch and the kayak!
