Mỹ Sơn Ruins

Another trip which we did ourselves was visiting the Mỹ Sơn ruins which was about 50 minuets on bike from Hoi An. We only spent a few hours here so an afternoon would be fine to visit.

Once arriving you have to walk and then get a shuttle bus which takes you further in, then you must walk around the site. Mỹ Sơn has been recognised by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
The Mỹ Sơn ruins were Hindu temples constructed between 4th and 14th century AD dedicated to worship the god Shiva.

There are many ruins to visit and although they are extremely old they still look so detailed and beautiful. The majority of the ruins are made from red brick and buildings were made without mortar they just placed the bricks very closely together which was a cool fact I learnt.

150,000 Dong per person
10,000 Dong to park the bike
