Arashiyama park

A huge beautiful traditional park in Kyoto which is most visited due to the bamboo which grows and lines the pathways. We were lucky as the sun was setting behind the trees giving an orange glow. There are many traditional Japanese trees and a monkey forest next door.

The park itself is a normal park with all different types of nature and places to sit. You could spend ages walking through this park and its so easy to get lost!

The bamboo part is the best  part it provides shade and its always very busy with tourists all taking photographs. The bamboo is sky high and all planted in straight lines so it creates a canopy over head.
