Lewis for Breakfast?

Restaurant Name: Lewises
2-4, St Mary's Row, Birmingham B13 8JG
Time Visiting: Breakfast
Cost: Varies £15-£20

Were back again but this time trying something different. I don’t think it was my brightest idea dining with a hangover but never the less the food hit the spot and as soon as I stepped outside I felt normal again. The only thing I will mention is this café is so hot, hotter then I remember. We sat at the back of the restaurant and as it’s so small you can really feel the heat from the kitchen – and you can smell everyone else’s food it’s great.

If your vegetarian or vegan you will be pleased to know the veggie versions sound better then the normal versions! Well that's my opinion. I chose the berry pancakes anyway because I'm a sucker for pancakes for breakfast. They came and looked so pretty but the massive dollop of natural yogurt on the top was overpowering for me - or that may have been due to my hangover taste buds. I also had a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and it was scrumptious.

The restaurant is small and as soon as you enter you feel like you have been transported into a café in New York. You always have to wait for a table no matter what day or what time. Its best to visit for breakfast or brunch only but they have now launched a Lebanese tapas night which sounds good.
