Bali Waterfalls

Bali has so much to offer and the waterfalls are the best of the best.

Bali is smallish so you can pretty much drive to the other side of the island on a bike in 5/6 hours. We went to the waterfall on the other side of the island and literally drove for 4/5 hours relaxed for an hour then drove back whilst the sun was setting another 4/5 hours. But it's all part of the experience. I love driving for miles on the bike its so fun the wind echoing around your ears and the sun giving your legs the best tan ever. You get to go where you want and see what you want and when you want. A bike gives you freedom and to get to the waterfalls you need freedom.

First things don't ever buy any tours, and don't ever go by car. The traffic on the island is ridiculous and it can sometimes take an hour to get down the road. With a bike you can squeeze through the gaps, drive up the pavement like the locals and get to the front of every que. Bike is the only way especially as a traveller your bike will be your baby and its important to make sure you get a good reliable bike not some broken down old thing. Wear a helmet too as there is always an accident somewhere and you can never be to careful, better safe then sorry.

Don't buy any tours, tour guides or tickets. Drive to the waterfall and pay the entrance fee when you get there. Its always cheaper and you cut out all the middle men. If once your there you want to be shown around for any reason there will be local offering to be your guide in return for a tip. But this really isn't needed. You will most likely have to pay for parking too but again this and entrance fee is miles cheaper then booking through a company/person.
