Cradle Mountain, Tasmania

Firstly it works out cheapest to hire a car and then visit all the national parks yourself.

The drive itself is amazing you drive for miles with just grassland no cars, no homes just wildlife. There are so many dead animals on the road which is disturbing. But the journey is beautiful the scenery is gorgeous and you will constantly be taking photographs.

From launceston Cradle Mountain is a 2hr30 min drive. In Tasmania they drive on the same side of the road as in England so its really easy and all the hire cars are automatic so you cant go wrong.

When arriving you have to park up then walk into the reception to register and pay entrance fee. Then you get the shuttle bus and your off. Make sure you know which walk trail your going to take to ensure you get off at the right stop. If you want to walk to the top of cradle mountain its 4 hours up and 4 hours back down.

The views and scenery are spectacular and their are so many tourists. Make sure comfortable shoes, lots of water and sunglasses. Cradle mountain is the 5th highest mountain in Tasmania.

You can do the walk at your own leisure and take as long as you like so long as you don't miss the last shuttle bus back to the reception entrance area.

I would recommend this to everyone it was great.
