Bustronome

Location: 2 Avenue Kléber, 75016 Paris, France
Cost: ££££
Time Visiting: Evening

As it’s a special occasion I decided to book something which sounded really cool, quirky and not your usual fine dining experience. Paris is the home of gastronomy and culture so this tour was perfect. You got to travel around Paris city centre, take in the amazing scenery learn about the history of Paris and the best part if you’re a foodie like me, eat all the delicious food and drink wine. I found Bustronome online and as soon as I looked at the tour on Instagram I was sold. This was right up my street.

I had booked the 6 course dinner menu with the drinks pairing. But this wasn’t just any boring fancy restaurant this was to eat on a super cool glass roof bus. The double decker bus was converted into a restaurant with the toilets and kitchen downstairs and then the tables upstairs. It was so elegant and fancy from the moment you enter the bus you can just tell your going to be in for a treat. I love having different experiences and for me this tour was absolutely amazing as you visit all the famous monuments in Paris whilst having a glass of champagne in hand.

You can opt for all different menus, they serve brunch, lunch, with drinks, without drinks, with wine or with drinks pairing. Whatever you prefer. If I didn’t buy the dinner menu my next choice would have been brunch. You need to book in advance as there are only 2 busses and its very popular. The tour runs throughout the whole week and you get to see the below monuments and there is an audio piece you can hold to your ear to have a guided tour, whilst having music in the background.

Champs Elysees
Concorde
Grand Palais
Pont Alexandre
Assemblee Nationale
Invalides
Champ de Mars
Eiffel Tower
Trocadero
Opera Garnier
Madeleine
Louvre Museum
Hotel de Ville
Notre Dame
Saint Michel
Ponte Des Arts

You meet the bus on the corner at Arc de Triumph and also get off the bus in the same place. This is the perfect tour for anyone I would really recommend it as you get to sightsee and eat all at once. They also have a bus in London, again which looks amazing and its now on my ‘to do list’
